From AFOA General Counsel, Olsson Frank Weeda:

HERE is the most recent client memorandum providing a high-level overview of recent developments relating to international trade between the U.S. and other countries.

This memorandum outlines recent trade-related developments that may affect your business operations. It covers the U.S.-EU trade deal announced earlier this week and the baseline tariff rate that will be applied on other countries with which the U.S. has not reached an individual trade deal.  Separately, President Trump issued an Executive Order implementing increased tariffs on Brazilian-origin goods; signed a Proclamation regarding the imposition of Section 232 tariffs on copper and copper derivative products; and announced the imposition of additional tariffs on Indian-origin goods.  We will address these developments in a separate memorandum.

We will continue to monitor this situation closely and will report all significant developments to you. In the interim, please do not hesitate to reach out to us with questions or requests for additional information.
